There are many different variations on the name of this recipe, to include; golombki, golumpki, golabki, golumpkies, golumpkis, gluntkes, or gwumpki. No matter how it's pronounced, you're sure to enjoy it for not only taste yet, also for it's low cost ingredients, if you're on a budget.

This recipe originated in Poland as a hearty meal consisting of cabbage leaves, that are boiled, filled with meat, mushrooms and rice or barley. It is very popular within the kitchens of Central European restaurants and even here in the United States of America, in the Polish communities especially.
